MANUAL FOCUS

I brought out my Mark II this week and starting practicing with manual focus. It’s a bit tougher to handle but it gives you more control over the camera. Here’s a shot that I took with it a few days ago. Notice the bokeh?

NEVER AGAIN?

This was probably the most significant family reunion that I’ve been a part of. It was thought of at the time to be an annual thing but never came to fruition. My great grandmother and my grandmother were there together which made it the most memorable reunion I’ll ever go to. I’m sure everyone has great memories from this one. From my recollection, everyone was there, which made it a once in a lifetime event. Literally.

My brother gave me a new dock for my iPhone!
Ok I know it isn’t very interesting news but I had to put on some gloves to get this working. My brother gave me an Apple bluetooth headset a few weeks ago and this dock was the one that accompanied it. If you don’t know, they made this dock to coincide with the 1st generation iPhone that including the aluminum backing. The 3G and 3GS models feature a plastic backing and are a few centimeters thicker. To make this dock work with my current 3GS, I had to use a dremel and gently sand off part of the dock so that the thicker iPhone can fit. It came out a bit messy as shown below.
